It comes with rubber seals on both sides. The spring hinge is capable of maintaining pressure for the wiper within the range of the mounting. I mounted mine on a UTV; plexiglass windshield.

I replaced a unit on an old 1988 Crestliner boat and the new one works well.in fact better than the original one. After tightening the flange nut the wiper itself has a strong spring to apply pressure of the wiper blade on the windshield. I have mine mounted on the windshield of a JohnDeere Gator. Not sure how you would drill through glass.never done that before.
Hope this helps. 2012-02-23STEVE WESLEYI have an old Crestliner boat that had one of these factory installed. The rubber blade and its holder wore out so I got a new one last summer. Intel wlan driver. This assembly is much better than the old one. It does fit through a hold in the windshield. I assume the windshield is plexiglas and not glass. It gave out so I bought this one. This is a very good unit and works just great on my boat and I would recommend it to anyone, but I have no idea if you will be able to mount it on your ATV or not.Mike 2011-10-18MIKE SPERRYI am sure it would work but anything on a plexiglass wind shield will scratch. On another note the wiper is very short and made very cheaply. I had to adapt a standard wiper to get the results I was looking for.
The manual handle is made very well. I don't know why they didn't go with a standard wiper and arm. 2011-10-18TOM OCONNELL.
