Setup File `gameinfo.txt` Doesn`t Exist In Subdirectory `hl2
Hey people,i have a problem:i would like to play with my friend CSS online, bot when i will start the game with the shortcut comesERROR:setup file 'gameinfo.txt' doesn't exist in subdirectory hl2Check your -game parameter or Vconfig Settings.I have creat an 'gameinfo.txt' but css wil not work.I'm using the Operating System 'Ubuntu'The Css version with Steam runs without problems, but that notI Hope the we can 'destroy' the problem and i can play with my friends.King regrades from Germany and sorry for my bad bad EnglishMarkus. 1 i install win and linux2have linux and winstupidor1install linux2.play not csss without steam!Why don't you just boot camp your system?? Give windows 50GB and throw CSS on there and be happy. Trust me, it isn't the hardest thing to do. And before you spam this forum, Google it before asking for help on boot camping. And if by some reason you do not know what boot camping is, it is partitioning a HDD to allow another operating system to operate, thus giving you 2 operating systems.
And because you say Windows sucks and yes it does, you still have the choice to use Linux when you want to.

Hello all members, i got a problem, i just downoald the counter strike source orange and extract it and put the folder in c:/programs and downoald the patch 0.40 and put it also in the same folder and i install it but when i run hl2.exe it showes this error'Setup file `gameinfo.txt´ dosn´t exist in subdirectory ´hl2´.Check your -game parameter or VCONFIG setting.I have tried to make desktop shortcut with 'placeshortcutondesktop.exe' and run game through shortcut from desktop!but it showes the same error.Can anyone help me?Thanks.
